Our free training programs allow all of our permanent, contract and temporary employees to improve their skills and grow in their careers, thereby improving their long-term career potential.
We strive to be socially responsible in every aspect of our business. And we often focus our resources with special initiatives in which we can have the most impact, helping to create a bridge to employment for those that want to - the disengaged youth, older people, the long-term unemployed and returners to work.
Manpower involvement in the Skills @ Work program
The Skills @ Work program is one of the various initiatives driven by the Schools’ Business Partnership (one of Business in the Community Ireland programs), which aim to positively impact on educational inclusion and address key issues in areas of educational disadvantage in Ireland.
The Skills @ Work program gives an insight into life after school by linking one or several classes with a company. The students and the employees then meet and exchange during several sessions including site visits, ‘A Day in the Life' talks, CV workshops, mock interviews, company overviews and interview skill techniques.
For Manpower, the involvement of our resources and our people in such a program is natural; providing advice, guidance and coaching is part of our core business and our employees are delighted to share their experience and expertise with young talents about to enter the world of work.
