Manpower have an exciting opportunity available on site with our client, SAP; we are seeking a Java Developer for the SAP Language Services Center based on their Galway site. Please note, this is a temporary contract role for which you would be employed by Manpower and working on behalf of our client; SAP

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Availability of our products in local languages is a key success factor for selling SAP software globally. With 200 employees in more than 20 locations, Globalization Services SAP Language Services (GS SLS) provides translation and translation-related services for all SAP Solutions and non-coded assets into 40 languages.
The technical SLS team in Galway provides infrastructure and application support for translation solutions. In addition the team owns, develops and supports a process automation solution based on an implementation of SAP PO / SAP BPM at SLS. For this we are looking for three Java developers to implement and support process models.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
*Design, implement, maintain and support process models in SAP PO / BPM. Provide effort estimates and optimize process models from a technical perspective.
*Liaise with business to understand high-level business processes and translate them into development artefacts in PO / BPM
*Design and implement interfaces to existing components outside SAP PO / BPM. Integrate interfaces of existing components with SAP PO / BPM. Validate and optimize the integration (e.g. error handling, performance, functionality etc.)
*Understand implemented processes from a technical and functional perspective. Make suggestions for further automating processes and optimization of implemented processes (both technical and functional optimizations).
*Support the process modelling phase with a technical implementation perspective.
Provide input on technical viability of process models.
*Collaborate with external BPM consultants.
*Stay up to date with latest features of SAP PO / BPM

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
*University degree in computer science or a related discipline
*Business experience a plus
*Excellent proven programming skills in Java incl. Java EE experience
1-2 years' experience in a development role.
*Strong knowledge of web service technologies (REST, ODATA, SOAP)
*Familiar with different data transport formats (XML, JSON)
*Ability to write clean, legible code
*Experience with using test frameworks
*Experience with multi-threaded and clustered or distributed environments
*Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
*Strong problem solving skills and research ability
*Flexible and service-oriented team-player with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with colleagues locally and remotely
*Fluency in English is a must
*Experience in a multi-national and distributed development team is a plus
