Deskside Support Engineer Level 1

Support approx. 4000 users onsite and approx. 3000 users across EMEA and be responsible for supporting a customer who sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards as their IT support provider. Day to day activity includes resolving a wide variety of laptop software and hardware issues and requests, while minimizing disruption to our users.

The job:

You will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd level desktop/laptop support, which include:

- monitor call management system to include continuous updating and closing of calls when resolved.
- Provide support for; Walk-in Service Centre, Installs, Breakfix, Refresh, Training Rooms, Conf Rooms/AV Support, Warehouse support, Remote Sites and Home Users, and Digital Signage
- Troubleshoot Office Software Issues: Be able to support common software issues within the Office Suite
- Offer productivity assistance and training to all customers
- Participate in HW/OS Refresh activity adhering to strict refresh schedules, refresh meeting attendance
- Document and keep processes & procedures up to date
- Weekly off-site visits to Warehouse to support proactive activity and incidents
- Participate in weekly Audio Visual proactive maintenance schedule when required, log and resolve issues

You should be technically competent, possess excellent written and face to face communication skills and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global IT support teams. Your ability to quickly adapt and learn while being a team player is essential to succeed in the role. Preferable 1-year experience in a similar position, and Proficient knowledge of Windows OS (Win8, 8.1, 10) and Microsoft Office suite.

You will be working for a large multinational IT company placed in Leixlip that is at the forefront of providing hardware components, as well as software, and related services to its customers. You will be on a fixed temporary contract until 31/12/19, with a salary on €23,000 Per annum.
