Supply Chain Project Support
This role will be the Supply Chain point of contact for a key product related project on site, responsible for ensuring Supply Chain tasks are delivered as per schedule.
Building and maintaining cross functional relationships to ensure project and customer needs are met. Maintaining a continuous improvement methodology within the Supply Chain group and project cross functional team.

Activities within role:
*This role requires the management of a stable process supported by a flexible, collaborate, multi-skilled teamwork environment. Close collaboration with multiple site functions (e.g. Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Quality, Operations, Technology).
*The Supply Chain Project Support role will partake in the Planning Process as required by the project team, ensuring future production & customer needs are met.
*This role will partake in the Planning and inventory management activities for this key product.
*The Supply Chain Project Support role will work closely with the Demand Planner and production planner, He/She will work with project lead, to ensure all Supply Chain activities are tracked and achieved.
*Building and maintaining cross functional team relationships to ensure we meet World Class Supply criteria.
*Maintaining a continuous improvement methodology within the group.
*The Supply Chain Project Support role will model the Clients Leadership behaviors and understand the MPS principles to individually live a culture of continuous improvement to become a High Performance Organisation.
*The Supply Chain Project Support will participate and comply with the MMD Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ownership, as relevant to you.

Primary activities/responsibilities:
*Be customer focused by driving the long term and short term Product Requirements through preparation, analysis and communication.
*Review long-term forecasts with the IPT Planner to identify and mitigate possible capacity/product issues, and recommend appropriate action. Analysis will incorporate key activity elements including cost drivers and resource utilization.
*Ensure continual alignment to plan and delivery of targets. Deviations to plan must be analysed from Customer, resource, activity and cost perspective.
*Cycle time reduction, delivery performance, schedule adherence (Plan vs. Actual).
*Work with the Planners to ensure there is no customer impact.
*Manage escalation issues, as related to you, including product and resource capacity related issues.
*Be a driver in the site project, tracking key milestones to enable successful execution of planned initiatives for the Supply Chain group.
*Recognize and implement continuous improvement activities to increase flexibility, eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, inventory and cost while maintaining product supply to internal and external customers.
*Aligning inventory with Plant objectives and targets to ensure Inventory is optimized.
*Ensure supply of high quality product through strategic planning
*Sound financial stewardship, management and control.
*Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS and other business compliance regulations.

Continuous Improvements:
Responsible for supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement by deploying the Clients Six Sigma tools on projects.
Coaching and Training:
Coaching others by sharing their skill-set and expertise.

Job Experience:
*Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation (e.g. manufacturing, quality, engineering, etc).
*At least five years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment including experience in a Supply Chain role.
*Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
*Demonstrated leadership and change management skills with a continuous improvement focus.
*Capability to interact and communicate with all levels of business leadership and operational teams
Qualifications:
*Degree or 3rd level qualification (Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain).
*Desirable evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
*Preference for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Skill Set Expected:
*Solid business acumen with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong organizational skill set.
*Demonstrated ability to fully realize improvement initiatives.
*Demonstrated successes in a team environment, such as project teams, Six Sigma team, PITs etc.
*Good knowledge of systems, e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. MRP systems experience is an advantage.
*Stakeholder management of multi decision makers, colleagues, peers and cross functional teams.
