Join our onsite deskside support team as our newest IT professional. You will support our clients, onsite users at Ringaskiddy in Cork. You would be responsible for supporting a customer who sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards for their IT support provider.
YOUR KEY CHALLENGES
* Take ownership of calls escalated from the service desk; adherence to client processes
* IPhone - IPad troubleshooting
* Videoconferencing equipment - test and meeting support
* Log/Validate all contacts in Ticket Handling Database - HP Servicecenter
* Manage end to end all tickets logged, providing regular updates to customers on call status
* Invoke Escalation Procedures within defined time frames
* Working in a regulated environment, the candidate will need to be consistent in following safety and operational procedures
* Adhere to all ITAM Asset management procedures - tagging assets, adding, removing, updating, inventories, etc
* Build and deploy PCs, patch network points, troubleshoot printer problems, support standard software packages, according to current procedures
* Organize daily workflow using call logging system to respond, update progress and close out reported incidents.
* 'Hands and Eyes' support for infrastructure environment (network switches, servers, backup tape library) - under guidance from the responsible offshore support towers
* Data Centre Tasks - rack new hardware, follow HW retirement process, visible checks
YOUR EMPLOYER
You will be working for a large multinational IT company, who are at the forefront of providing hardware components as well as software and related services to its consumers. As a Deskside Support Engineer, you will be offered a temporary contract with and end date of 31/12/2018, with possible extension together with a salary on €29,000 Per Annum.
YOU ARE
Experience in the field: You have experience working in a deskside/desktop support role and experience in supporting and troubleshooting MS office applications.
Technologically capable: Comfortable working with troubleshooting and analysing a large array of technical issues regarding Hardware, Software and Infrastructure (switches, Servers, patching etc.)
A strong communicator: You are comfortable talking with the end users onsite and can solve any technical issue with a customer centric mindset.
