The overall role and responsibility of the individual will be to work within Data Quality Management Unit as part of an expanding team tasked with implementing best practices for data governance, data definitions, quality management and validation processes.
The role will involve creating and promoting data quality awareness across the organisation. The individual will assist in the analysis and assessment of existing data flows within the organisation, ensuring best practices are implemented and maintained in the supply of the data for Group reporting purposes.
Therefore, the individual will act as a key point of contact with colleagues at Group and locally as a functional performance analyst between the different business and reporting units.

*Manage recording and analysis of functional business and technical requirements for the development and refinement of new and existing data flows
*Maintain the quality of material in local documentation and the Group data dictionary
*Develop a strong understanding of the requirements of internal and external reporting including the creation of data delivery and reports, flows from source to destination and process maps around same.
*Assist with the local implementation of the Group Data Management Framework
*Ensure all data deliveries have appropriate documentation detailing data definitions, data ownership (end-to-end), quality safeguards, and a data quality assessment
*Participate in local data quality and delivery projects in coordination with multiple departments and numerous work-streams
*Assess and identify areas for improvement (business processes, etc.) to assist the organisation in striving for best practice in data management and reporting
*Develop business requirements for System and Process changes to ensure correct data and reporting requirement implementations

Education and Experience:
*Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills;
*Strong written and verbal communication skills;
*Business/Performance Analysis courses, course modules or certification (desirable, not essential)
*QFA Qualified (desirable, not essential)

Required know-how/skills
*Knowledge of Performance Analysis process techniques, particularly on data flow mapping;
*Knowledge of SQL programming and COBOL or XML file formats a distinct advantage;
*Attention to detail and strong numerical skills, ensuring high levels of accuracy;
*Action and results orientated with a proven commitment to attaining desired goals in a timely manner;
*Willingness to adapt to change and thrive in a data centric environment;
*Excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
*Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
