Finance Operations Manager, €75K +bonus, benefits, Ins Industry

One of Ireland's top Insurance Companies now has a position for a Finance Operations Manager.

This is a full time, permanent role, based in Dublin. Salary is circa €75K plus bonus and benefits, depending on experience. This position reports directly to the CFO.

We are looking for an Accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience, (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, ACA) including experience managing accounting staff. Experienced in leading and developing teams such as payroll, AR, AP. FP&A control. Experience of dealing with segregated client accounts would be a plus. Banking and payment service protocols. Ideally your experience exposure to the Commercial Insurance market or Insurance products or an insurance background.

*Ownership of the of the company's consolidated budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes and systems. Working with CFO, BU controllers and Directors to ensure that initiatives / investments are embedded in plans and actions to deliver performance improvement are tracked. Presentation of budgets, forecasts and plans to Board.
*Plan and Operate the company's Treasury policy to ensure that comprehensive reporting, controls and checks are maintained to segregate client premium funds, and to deliver the company's planned operational free cash target
*Manage the company's Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Banking and Payroll processes to ensure that we adhere to billing cycle, collection timelines and payment commitments (staff and suppliers) as set down by the company
*Control of the periodic close cycle, including timely reporting outputs of owned systems and processes, in order to enable the Finance team provide insightful analysis to the business as part of the monthly reporting cycle
*Ensure that all Bank Accounts and Clearing accounts are reconciled on a daily and monthly basis within the reporting cycle timeframes with a goal of zero clearing items (Clear to Zero)
*Manage external and inter-departmental relationships in order to support the efficient delivery of Finance and Banking operations processes, and ensure that service levels are established and measured with improvement plans implemented as required.
*Solve for opportunities to streamline and automate processes in order to enable the company achieve its margin enhancement target.
*Manage and develop a team of 8 staff to deliver a customer focused, efficient and effective service as measured by performance indicators. Foster a culture within the team where they continue to seek to increase their technical and industry knowledge that will support the development of a team succession plan
*Monitor the Finance Operations departmental risks, and make improvements in conjunction with risk assessments undertaken by the Risk and Compliance team, internal auditors or external auditors.
*Budgeting and forecasting, Project Management.
*SAP or similar, SQL
