My Client, a Global Insurance Organisation now has an opening for an Assistant Accountant's based here in Dublin.
Assistant Accountant
Salary: €40K - €45K. This is a full time, permanent position with excellent benefits
The Position:
Post and reconcile accrued revenue balances and ensure that items are properly aged, supported by adequate documentation and invoiced on a timely basis
Oversee the accounting for Life and Group Commission revenue
Assist in the annual external audit and statutory account preparation
Assist in the preparation of monthly revenue reports and metrics
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee VAT reporting including bi-monthly filings to Revenue, and irrecoverable VAT calculations
Oversee the PSWT process, ensuring the withheld tax is accurately reported on the Oracle general ledger, and refunds from Revenue are claimed on a timely basis
Assist in corporation tax reviews, coordinating with Group Tax, external advisers and Ireland Finance team
Support the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring that receivables are collected on a timely basis, and doubtful debts are appropriately provided
Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process.
Engagement, coaching and mentoring of junior members of the Finance team
Manage and successfully deliver projects working with colleagues within the Finance, Support and Business functions and teams
Candidate experience:
Accounting Technician, Assistant Accountant or part qualified accountant
Have good ability to prioritise and organise workflow
Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of accounting applications Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, etc.
Have a good understanding of the key business revenue and Profit & Loss drivers
Some people management experience
