Financial Accountant

This role will play a key part in the monthly reporting preparation and outputs of the business, ensuring that all stakeholders have their relevant reports in a timely manner.
This role will be able to provide detailed breakdowns and back up to different costs and balance sheet areas.

Qualifications and Education:
*Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA). 3-5 Years PQE
*Qualified Accountant working in a similar working environment (Insurance / Consumer Services)
*Experience in Accounts Preparation & Tax returns ( CT / VAT / PAYE )
*A sound knowledge of SAP / SAP Business One

Responsibilities:
*Responsible for key month end management accounts tasks including commentary and variance analysis explanations to Management within set deadlines on both cost and revenue streams on insurance products
*Ensuring that all insurance related balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and have no reconciling items on a monthly basis
*Responsible for key insurance inputs and KPI's in preparation of the monthly Finance pack, Cost Center reports & Board pack within set deadlines
*Preparation of tax returns (Vat, Corporation Tax, Payroll Taxes etc) and ensuring that all statutory filing requirements are met
*Providing financial information, technical advice and budgeting assistance as required from the Business
*Being the main point of contact from an insurance perspective with interim and statutory audits and adhering to the strict deadlines
*Review and implement cost / time effective reports and KPI's using the in-house Reporting Tool

Key Dimensions:
*No direct reports
*Will need to be able to work as part of a team and to strict month end deadlines.
*Be able to provide variance analysis and solutions on same to Business Managers
