The role: Solutions Architect / Bid Writer

Job Description:

The Solutions Architect / Bid Writer will develop business and systems solutions to meet the needs of new and existing clients, with a strong focus on supporting business development and pre-sales activities for the Irish market. Will also create exceptional written quality proposals and presentations in response to business opportunities.


The key elements of the role will be to:

- Support business development by building solutions to meet new/existing client requirements through published tenders, requests for proposals and/or transformation initiatives.
- Present solutions to prospective and existing clients and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research & analysis of client and company specific requirements, industry developments and new technologies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the business.
- Design and map business processes.
- Creating implementation roadmaps and project plans as part of the solution design.
- Manage bids in accordance with tender requirements.
- Create and coordinate high-quality bid responses and client presentations.
- Support and contribute to the maintenance of bid content.

Job Responsibilities:

- Design the end-to-end client solution components for new and existing client requirements.
- Coordinate with all internal work stream owners (e.g. sales, operations, HR, ICT, forecasting, commercial etc.) to ensure solution alignment with service delivery expectations.
- Develop and deliver conceptual presentations of solution offerings in a pre-sales environment for potential and current clients.
- Articulate solutions through clear and concise content and communicate these to internal audiences.
- Map end-to-end business processes for existing and new services, working closely with our operations teams as required.
- Build detailed and practical solution implementation roadmaps and timelines in conjunction with the wider business and operations
- Research emerging technologies, processes and best practices and provide feedback from the market to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage bids using best practice methodology and in accordance with tender time-lines and compliance obligations.
- Coordinate and integrate responses from departmental contributors and work-stream owners including review, update, and completion of responses in line with tender requirements.
- Support the internal commercial function's pre-sales activities including the development of sales proposals, pitches, presentations, web content and white papers including innovative ideas for improvements.

Person Specification& Experience:

- 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in business process outsourcing and/or multi-sector/service experience will be highly valuable and represents a significant advantage.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
- Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to foster relationships at all levels of the business.
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to understand and articulate customer requirements in order to build winning solutions and responses.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and fluency in English.
- Degree in Business Management or IT.
- Excellent MS Office skills across the suite of programmes.

Location: Cork - Clonakilty and Little Island.

Travel: The successful candidate must be willing to travel as appropriate within Ireland.
