Procurement Officer
You will contribute to the execution of a procurement strategy at sub-category, country and project level to ensure business needs and objectives are met. A key part of this role is to develops appropriate relationships with suppliers and vendors with the aim of delivering a beneficial advantage to the client.
Key Accountabilities
*Define and implement category strategies to maximize Procurement principles and cost savings for local Business
*Collate & report spend across categories -
o3rd party forecast spend for current financial year
oIndividual Category Management strategy/plan in place
oSupport Procurement strategy (competition, stakeholder preferences, alternatives)
oSupport Business Lines and bids
oManage supplier contractual arrangements
oSupport the development and implement of Procurement systems
oDevelop close working relationship with local Finance Managers
oEnsure EMEIA Procurement Category initiatives are embedded into local business lines by working with Finance and other key functions
oSupport the Internal Client programme
oMaintain regular engagement with key internal clients
oTake ownership & manage escalations with 3rd party vendors
Savings / Reporting
*Deliver local target savings
*Track in-year & annualized savings
*Produce quarterly Category strategy pack & present progress to management and other key stakeholders
*Report savings against Procurement Target
*Ensure issues are managed promptly and effectively across accounts via monthly review with senior management
Professional Competencies
*The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate running end-to-end commercial Procurement projects within blue-chip organisations
*Has the confidence to influence at a senior level
*Networks and involves a range of contacts - both within the Irish business and the wider EMEIA procurement category team
*Has a high level of commercial aptitude
*Will be solely responsible for owning and achieving local procurement savings target
*You will work autonomously, proactively and use initiative
