IT Infrastructure Analyst
The IT Infrastructure Analyst supports the design, installation, administration and ongoing maintenance of the Grifols IT infrastructure platforms. Provides technical guidance to project teams and staff in evaluating infrastructure suitability, capabilities, and options. Participates in the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of software and/or hardware platforms to ensure infrastructure performance and availability. Investigates emerging methods and technologies as requested to support IT infrastructure development planning.

Primary responsibilities for role:
*Relationship Management, Planning, and Strategic Alignment
oBuilds effective and trusting working relationships with all business and IT partners in areas of responsibility and collaboration.
oDevelops knowledge of business processes, industry trends, and IT systems to better communicate IT capabilities and support IT solutions and architecture development.
oSupports the definition, development, and maintenance of IT strategic and operational plans that support Grifols' mission, values, and business objectives.
oParticipates in the implementation of the IT project portfolio.
oCollaborates with cross-functional teams and other technical staff to effectively implement and integrate new technologies and applications.
*Project Delivery and Management
oProactively identifies project risks and issues; helps determine necessary escalation, mitigation, and resolution steps.
oRegularly communicates deliverables status, concerns, and issues to direct supervisor and the Project Manager.
oAssists in estimating project cost and time requirements, assessing capabilities and support/resource requirements in area of responsibility.
oCreates, reviews, and updates required documentation for changes and projects as assigned in accordance with IT Methodology.
oParticipates in adoption management of new systems, functions, and technologies, including the development and delivery of end user training as assigned.
oParticipates in the planning of projects and contributes to developing project plans.
oPerforms modification and installation of systems as assigned.
oSupports the development of technical specifications for system modifications to fulfill documented business and system requirements with an effective solution.
*IT Operational Support
oEnsures IT quality, legal, and regulatory compliance through adherence to quality control standards in all activities.
oSupports the development, documentation, and evolution of IT policies, procedures, and tools to align with business and IT strategies and ensure sustainability of services.
oDevelops an increasing level of experience in technical and professional skills required to perform assigned job duties.
oRegularly communicates individual task status, open issues, and challenges to impacted stakeholders and/or direct manager.
oMonitors and addresses assigned issues and changes to ensure timely resolution; updates stakeholders regularly on progress.
oPerforms administration of technology platforms as assigned to maintain effective operation and consistent availability.
oSupports the continuous enhancement of systems and services to improve IT effectiveness and system performance.
oWorks directly with users of assigned systems as a technical resource for planning operational changes and addressing issues.
*Knowledge Sharing and Consulting
oAssists in documentation of industry and IT best practices in areas of responsibility and expertise.
oAssists peers in completion of routine assignments by sharing knowledge and experience.
oParticipates in the assessment of emerging technologies for the company; contributes to planning technology adoption and integration with existing systems.
oMay participate in the development of ongoing user education programs and technical/professional training of IT staff.
*IT Service Delivery and Process Capabilities Assurance - Common to all IT Roles
oUnderstands and applies continuous improvement principles to business and IT processes in area of responsibility.
oEnsures compliance with technology policies and regulatory requirements and takes appropriate action to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
oProactively seeks and addresses operational opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining or improving IT efficiency and effectiveness.
oDevelops and promotes ideas for the continuous improvement of IT technologies, services, and procedures with IT leadership and the IT Process Improvement team.
oActively identifies and advises IT management of potential business, technical, and compliance risks relating to the delivery of IT services.

Additional Responsibilities:
Completes special assignments of increasingly complex and / or broad scope as required. May assist in the instruction of contract employees in immediate work team.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field. May require documented training and certification in specific technologies or platforms.

Experience:
Typically requires 8 years of related experience.

Equivalency:
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
