Accountants Technician

My client is based in Wicklow, they are currently looking for an experienced Accounting Technician, Accounting Assistant or bookkeeper to join their company. This is a full time, permanent position.

Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 5.00pm

Salary: €40K - €45K depending on experience

Location: Wicklow

Reports to: Financial Controller

Job Overview:

• Support the Financial Controller with the company's monthly accounts, preparation of monthly reports, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness recorded, reconciled and reviewed.
• To ensure the provision of a high-quality financial accounting service that supports the effective and efficient management of Max Benjamin, within statutory and regulatory guidelines.
• Calculate all the business taxes due and prepare tax returns
• Submit all company tax returns on schedule and track payments or refunds
• Processing supplier and expenses invoices and submit payment run for authorization
• Processing trade customers invoices and follow up overdue payments in a timely manner
• Processing journals ensuring that all accounting entries are supported by working papers for analytical review and audit.
• Complete account reconciliations to review and clear balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis, including good received not invoiced, VAT and payroll accounts, and maintain all required documentation to support an audit
• Complete daily bank reconciliations.
• Delivery the monthly close process, analysing transactions and preparing required journals.
• Providing cover across the wider department team to manage team absences and peak periods within the business
• Assist with the implementation of new ERP

Your Experience

• 4 years plus working in an Accounting Technician / Accounts Assistant / Bookkeepers role or similar
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ideally have Accounting Technician or other accounting qualification or have relevant experience.
• Have own car to travel to and from work as is not easily accessible by public transport
