Junior Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Dublin
Reporting to: Operations Leads
We are currently looking for an aspiring Desktop Engineer to join our team in Ireland. As well as being an active member of the Manpower Group support team, you will be expected to provide support on client accounts. The Engineer will be involved in resolving technical issues as well as getting involved in projects on Client accounts as required. This role is based on a customer site and therefore requires advanced customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of standard desktop computer hardware and software in a networking environment
- Provide ah-hoc support for on-going projects at the request of your manager or team leader
- Supports standard desktop applications and operations
- Identifies potential service level problems before they occur and implements solutions
- Processes requests for and schedules new or upgraded desktop computer hardware and software
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for existing accounts
Requirements:
- 2+ years Level 2 deskside experience
- CompTIA A+ are desired but not essential
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science preferred but other technical degrees or work experience will also be considered
- Experience of working with Microsoft Windows XP/7 and applications
- Experience of working in a Deskside environment and excellent customer service skills
- Analytical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to cope with pressures of peak workloads, short deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- The ability to be an effective team player
