Senior Project Accountant

Main Purpose of Role


You will provide Accounting support/advise to the Project team within the rules of the Company QMAC and produce a set of monthly accounts law Company procedures and within the designated timescales.

Main responsibilities include:


You will validate and amend, where appropriate, all project expenditure for their designated area and be responsible for the development of "Accounting reports" detailing performance / forecasting information for use by Senior Management and Directors.
You will be responsible for production of cost certificate in-line with CAAS requirements and provision of supporting evidence as required.
Provide finance support to Earned Value management process as required by MoD and accurate analysis of actual expenditure and accurate and timely presentation of invoice information to customer.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences


You should have experience in a Project Accounting function and awareness of Commercial/Contract/ Estimating work practices. You must be able to implement and monitor financial controls and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Qualifications


Qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
