Manpower have an interesting opportunity for a QC Technician with our Life Sciences client based in Waterford.

Purpose of Role

  • To ensure our products are manufactured and packaged in compliance with Quality and Safety guidelines
  • Operates complex systems and equipment for the production of batches/ manufacturing and packaging of products.
  • Is responsible for the quality of product delivery (in accordance with good manufacturing policies)
  • Respects HSE procedures and conducts regular checks of all work completed. Is involved in operational excellence (lean) workshops including material preparation activities (e.g. Bio)

Working relationship

  • Manufacturing, Packaging and Technical Development areas
  • Interfaces with Quality, Engineering and Materials.
  • Key Contacts: Maintenance Technicians, QA, QC, Warehouse and Technical Development team/ New Product Introduction Team

Key responsibilities

  • Provide QC services, oversight and support to site.
  • To ensure our products are manufactured and packaged in compliance with Quality and Safety guidelines
  • Operate complex systems and equipment for the production of batches/ manufacturing and packaging of products.
  • Is responsible for the quality of product delivery (in accordance with good manufacturing policies)
  • Respects HSE procedures and conducts regular checks of all work completed. Is involved in operational excellence (lean) workshops including material preparation activities (e.g. Bio)
  • Perform all activities to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and current Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP) requirements.
  • Perform sampling and testing activities within the QC laboratory and manufacturing areas.
  • Perform equipment calibrations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects as required regarding safety, lean and GPTW.

Experience:

  • 1+ year experience working in a manufacturing environment - ideally part of which would be in the pharmaceutical OR FMCG sector.
