Babcock International is one of the largest providers of support services to the emergency services sector. We manage vehicles and equipment on behalf of organisations such as London Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police Service and the Highways Agency. And as one of our Vehicle Fitters, you'll play a vital role in keeping their vehicles on the road and in great working order.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for experienced Vehicle Fitters / Technicians who hold a minimum of NVQ level 2 in this field, and are able to work from our Walsall location.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the stripping and fitting of a wide range of vehicles, from executive to light commercial.

  • Removing and replacing vehicle exterior panels
  • Cataloguing components so that they can be effectively reassembled
  • Replacing mechanical components E.g. Suspension / brakes
  • Removing and replacing OEM vehicle wiring harnesses.

The experience you'll bring

First and foremost you'll need to be educated to a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2 in a related discipline.

You will also have automotive electrical & mechanical experience.
