Finance Project Officer
Finance Project Officer. A Finance Project Officer role is available on a short term basis (approx. 3 months)
The role will be involved in the reconciliations process for a specific project. The role will involve collating, recording, reconciling and verifying financial information from multiple returns. This will encompass recording and monitoring the receipt of returns, reconciling returns to forecast data already held, and communicating with third party stakeholders to resolve differences. In addition the role will involve updating spreadsheets, creating new templates, adjusting formulae, and monitoring and follow up of outstanding or incorrect returns. This is an important piece of work as it relates to a national project. The successful applicant will be provided with guidance as needed but they will be expected to work independently on the tasks assigned.
Job Requirements
Good general education (with GCSE or equivalent in Maths and /English Language at Grade C or above)
Strong spreadsheet skills including ability to use and construct formulae
Attention to detail, high standards of accuracy and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
Effective organisational skills including experience in handling multiple returns and delivering work to deadlines
Experience of financial reconciliations work and resolving differences with third party stakeholders.
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative as required
Good communication skills
Friendly and good natured and able to work in a team environment and liaise with colleagues
