I have an excellent opportunity for an Inbound Associate to work within the Operations division of a leading sportswear company based in Manchester. The role is to manage all inbound activities from booking confirmation through to put away at the destination DC. The role will have multi-brand responsibility for the DC planning and processing of all inbound shipments.

About the role:

Through our partnership profile and exciting growing mainline, the demand for our products is seeing us partner with the biggest retailers in the market, as well as developing a distribution network on a global scale.

As the Inbound Operations Associate, you will be managing all inbound activities from booking confirmation to put away at the destination. Assisting alongside the Operations Manager to build a collaborative relationship with Wholesale, Partnerships and Other Departments to make sure each department has confident visibility of stock availability, ensuring the business is protected against overselling and stock allocation. The successful candidate will own and maintain the partnership with the 3PL from an inbound perspective and ensure they hit the agreed SLA's while actively looking for ways to improve the inbound process.

Duties:

  • Working with Intake to make sure we are aware of all upcoming shipments and have visibility of the level of priority associated with each one.

  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with our 3PL to ensure they understand what is arriving when so resource can be planned to allow for SLAs to be hit.

  • Highlighting our 3PLs performance throughout the whole putaway process to the Operations Manager, utilising data to provide evidence and produce weekly reviews with our 3PL to go over previous performance and discuss any areas of concerns going forward.

  • Managing the Pre Order stock system with the Outbound associate ensuring correct stock holdings and communication is provided.

  • Supporting the Inbound Assistant making sure they are fulfilling the relevant admin tasks to keep the systems updated correctly.


§ Making sure the inventory report is run to highlight any key discrepancies and make sure all stock is aligned across all systems.

§ Ensuring our ecom system is maximising our stock availability and no oversell risk exists.

§ Reconcile discrepancies that have been highlighted by the regular inventory report.

§ Reporting on Query stock and holding the 3PL to account to drive that figure down.

§ Perform regular checks to make sure all SKU and PO details are in the correct systems ahead of deliveries arriving.

  • Ensure visibility of cross docked stock/direct deliveries so that the stock file can be correctly rectified.

Requirements:

  • 6 month - 1 year experience of working in a similar role, where inbound operations has been central to your responsibilities.
  • Experience working with 3rd party handlers.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, liaising with peer groups across the business and adapting to evolution and change of process.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fast pace growing business.

Salary:

£25,000 - £27,000 working Mon-Fri 9-5pm, plus extensive benefits and career progression opportunities.
