The Assistant Project Manager role is based within Babcock Rail.

The role

The difference our new Assistant Project Manager will make:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. In this role you will assist in successfully managing to completion a project or group of projects within agreed budget, programme, quality and safety parameters.

Day to day, you will contribute to the tendering and development of track led projects, as well as providing engineering support to the delivery teams.

Essential experience

* Engineering background, ideally within Civil Engineering.
* Proven experience in project management of multidisciplinary rail projects ideal but not essential.
* Technical knowledge of the management and co-ordination of several engineering disciplines simultaneously.
* Proven experience in Project / Engineering Management position.
* Knowledge of Track Renewal processes and associated safety matters, ideal but not essential.
* Qualification in Engineering Discipline.
