Maintenance Technician

With a diverse portfolio of products and customers, we are looking to add a maintenance technician to the team, to support business growth. The Maintenance team is responsible for Preventative and Corrective Maintenance and to maximise Machine Availability in addition to ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, but working closely with the Manufacturing, Packing, and Warehouse teams, you will be a key member of the manufacturing team, responsible for delivering high quality products for our customers.

Key responsibilities.

  • General preventive maintenance of production equipment.
  • Timely response to corrective maintenance requirements.
  • Installation and fault finding of electrical equipment.
  • Upkeep and repair of all site facilities (boilers, water treatment, building lighting etc).
  • IT tasks (PLC programming, downtime capture systems, product label and barcode setups etc).
  • Completion of all relevant documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
  • Support Commissioning of new machinery or assist in commissioning of new machinery or new line set up depending on requirements.

 

Qualifications and skills

  • Appropriate qualifications and certifications.
  • 1 - 2 years advantageous but not necessary.
  • Electrical experience/training is strongly preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all members of staff.
  • Reliability and good work ethic are essential requirements for this role.
  • Practical, hands on approach to technical problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
  • Strong team player, with an acute attention to detail and positive attitude.
  • Ability to self-mange workload and achieve daily targets.
  • An appetite to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrate agility by being flexible and open to change
  • Ability to clearly explain work being performed to stakeholders
