Experis are recruiting for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Dublin-based client who deliver SAP ERP solutions to the SME sector in Ireland and the UK.

Now established as an SAP Gold Partner, our client is a leading vendor for SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign in the Irish market and has a growing presence in the UK. The Junior Software Engineer will play a part in meeting customer functionality requirements and maintaining the company's status within the SAP reseller community and hierarchy.

Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering

• Meet with customers and identify shortcomings in their SAP Business One environment.
• Develop solutions to issues identified or requests made by customers.
• Record and document minutes of meetings with customers.
• Suggest solutions for meeting customer needs.

Development

• Develop knowledge of SAP B1 DIAPI.
• Responsible for developing applications for integration with SAP Business One.
• Responsible for co-ordinating test plans with support team and customers.
• Working both individually and as part of a team to meet customer requirements.
• Provide elevated support on issues raised by support team.
• Develop solutions both independently and as part of a team.

Documentation

• Write support documentation and test plans for all development projects.
• Write end user documentation for use by customers when using developed applications.
• Record all changes made to software, either to fix issues or expand functionality.

SAP Business One

• Learn core functionality of SAP Business One Client.
• Obtain understanding of SAP Business One database structure and links between tables.
• Obtain understanding of how the SAP B1 DIAPI interacts with SAP Business One and the impact it has on the database.

Administration

• Maintain internal time sheets and other records as directed.
• Maintain and update Project Management records as directed.

Education and Experience

• Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Software Development or a related field.
• Knowledge of C#, .NET or Java required.
• Knowledge of SQL required.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery preferred.
• Experience with MVC frameworks an advantage.
• Prior experience working in software development is preferred.
• Prior experience with SAP Business One is also advantageous.
