The role

The difference our new Senior Buyer and Buyer Team Leader will make
As a Senior Buyer and Buyer Team Leader you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Demonstrate proficiency in Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management and Performance Management techniques through experience and learning.

Day to day, as a Team Leader you'll manage the day-to-day work activities of direct reports (Buyers) to deliver operational excellence; ensuring team output is optimised, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures, demonstrate proficiency in Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management and Performance Management techniques through experience and learning and mentor and support team members growth, development, and delivery against objectives.

Day to day as a Senior Buyer you'll develop mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers and customers to seek to anticipate and mitigate problems/difficulties, such that they consider LGE to be a strategic partner, communicate effectively with potential and active suppliers as necessary to achieve the required service levels and results to meet project needs. You will also use your knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes as required to support new product development and risk mitigation.

You will also perform all tasks involved in the generation and administration of purchase orders and ensure purchases are made in a timely manner and in accordance with the Company procedures, generate and manage the assigned order book and contracts, expediting through RFQ, evaluation, negotiation, supplier selection and delivery phases; administer all procurement and supply commitments including maintaining shipping and expediting register; management of correspondence; supplier performance management (commercial, capability, quality and environment); revision or variation orders; invoicing etc.

We offer flexible working to give people more options to better integrate their work and personal life, whilst ensuring that business needs are met. This role provides 2 days per week on site but flexible which days and sometimes travel ls required potentially to the far east, but this doesn't happen often (annually)


Essential experience

* An experienced and agile procurement professional with extensive knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures with the ability to operate at an expeditious pace when necessary.
* Able to mentor, support, performance manage and provide governance to a team of experienced Buyers.
* Promote and maintain a culture of openness, honesty, commitment, and continuous improvement.
* Actively support the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and other applicable policies and procedures.
* Have or be working towards having SC Clearance
