Overview:

Our Client is one of the country's largest software development organisations.

The company has been operating successfully to employ a wide range of technologies including Mobile (iOS, Android), Java/Kotlin (Springboot, Akka, JPA, etc.), Microsoft .NET (ASP.NET, C#, etc.), JavaScript (React, Vue, AngularJS, JQuery, Node.js, etc.), various database management systems (MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, MySql, etc.) and multiple Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

The client provides consultancy and leading-edge software solutions for a wide variety of US, EU and UK based clients in the insurance, healthcare, retail and public sector markets.

 

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer with AWS working experience to join our Team. The role will be based at either our satellite office in Cagliari, Italy, or our head office in Cork, Ireland.

As a company, we support all levels of remote working, where appropriate. The developer will report to the Software Project Manager and occasionally to appropriate Development Directors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Running .NET Core services in containers
  • Extensive commercial development experience in C# and ASP.Net
  • Excellent knowledge of MS SQL Server including Strong T-SQL (Stored Procedure) skills
  • Familiarity with modern Javascript front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React)
  • Comfortable with Test Drive Development using mocking frameworks and libraries e.g., Moq, NUnit, SpecFlow, etc.
  • Software development using Agile methodologies
  • Using messaging framework like NServiceBus, Masstransit or equivalent advantageous

 

Technical Profile:

  • At least 2 years of cloud experience in AWS is essential
  • AWS Lambda
  • DynamoDB
  • SNS & SQS
  • S3
  • Experience with integrating databases/services on premise with the cloud required

 

Optional Skills:

  • AWS API Gateway
  • AWS Cognito
  • CloudFront
  • CI/CD experience
  • ECS/EKS/AWS Fargate
  • IAM
  • CloudWatch (or similar monitoring tool/service)
  • AWS Glue

 

Personal Profile:

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of team
  • Ability to learn new business areas quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders, and help them prototype their requirements
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Desire to develop your own knowledge by keeping abreast of testing tools and techniques, attending workshops and reviewing technical publications
