Excellent opportunity on offer for a Mechanical Engineer looking to work for our Civil Nuclear business, Cavendish Nuclear where you will get the chance to work with high end, mechanical equipment including anything from a microswitch to a 150-tonne fuelling machine.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a mechanically qualified engineer, ideally with a background knowledge of heavy machinery.
We require someone who is comfortable with technically supervising tasks such as assembly & test and preparing quality records for submission.

What will you be doing?
* Work with the project team to ensure implantation of the project execution plan
* Preparation of work plans for assembly & test
* Identification of hazards & risks
* Identify needs for resource and equipment
* Basic design drawings
* Help improve production safety performance in line with company targets

The experience you'll bring
* Qualified mechanical engineer (HNC or above)
* Experience and background in heavy equipment ideal
* Experience of using 3D design packages advantageous but not essential
* Experience of assembly & test work
* Must have, or be able to obtain the necessary security clearance
