I currently have a great opportunity for a NDT Inspector working in the aerospace and automotive industry, to produce goods as required in line with the production plan. Working within non-destructive testing, you will ensure that through Magnetic Particle, Penetrant, Acid Etch, and Visual inspection methods, product meets customer requirements


Working shifts are: Typically, A & B Rotating initially and additional C shift (Overtime Also available)

A Monday to Thursday 6am to 1.35pm & Friday 6am to 12:45pm

B Monday to Thursday 1:25pm to 9:05pm & Friday 12:35pm to 7pm (20 % Shift allowance)

C Monday to Thursday Only 8.55pm - 6.05am (30% Shift allowance)

Starting base salary depending on experience between £20,541 (£24,649 including 20% shift allowance) to
£25,346 (£30,415 including 20% shift allowance)


Duties and responsibilities

  • Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • Penetrant Flaw Inspection
  • Acid Etch Inspection
  • Perform Control and Calibration tests to ensure full compliance
  • Timely completion of administration data
  • Carry out inspection tasks in other areas when necessary
  • Compile quality reports where required
  • May be called upon to work within other areas of the quality department
  • Other duties as deemed relevant in the fulfilment of the position


About you

  • Engineering background ideally within the Aerospace sector
  • English language and Maths to GCSE Grade C or above
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks
  • Ability and willingness to work within a team

Desirable

    Ability to read technical drawings and specifications preferableComputer literatePossess strong organisational skillsIdeally have experience and knowledge of NDTQualified to EN4179/NAS410 at Level II standard (Full training will be given to suitable applicant)
