Job Summary:
The Facilities Team comprising of the Facilities Manager, 3 x Facilities Technicians and a Coordinator provide facilities support by way of planned preventative maintenance as well as all reactive works and contractor management to the Centre in a cost-effective method and in full compliance of all applicable laws and regulations as well Schlumberger policies and standards.
Hours would typically be 37.5-hour week during core hours Monday to Friday with occasional out-of-hours/ weekend working.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement planned preventative maintenance (assigned via internal work requests and ppm computer systems) ensuring prompt follow up with stakeholders. This may entail working with approved contractors to arrange for them to come to site to conduct the work and managing them whilst on site.
- Carry out day-to-day reactive repair and maintenance tasks across all buildings where required and within individual competence
- Raise order requests with approved service suppliers and contractors. Quotations to be passed to the Facilities Manager and on approval to the Facilities Administrator for SAP submission.
- Organize, meet and manage contractors ensuring method statements & risk assessments are in place and reviewed, confirm any queries direct with the Facilities Manager (FM) or HSE. Issue permit to work when required, conduct inductions and supervise work ensuring it is conducted as per the quote.
- Ensure electronic databases and files (records) are updated with completed work on a daily basis
- Complete and stay current with all required Q & HSE training and risk reporting
- Assist the Facilities Manager and team with the management of longer-term projects (e.g. building moves / shop floor fit-outs, etc.). Assist the FM with the investigation and closure of QUEST action items.
- Be part of the site's Emergency Response Team - be prepared to attend occasional out-of-hours call outs.
- Provide cover for other members of Facilities team during absence or where workload dictates. Some out of hours work may be required, e.g. supervising contractors over a weekend.
Qualifications:
- Good basic education essential (minimum GCSE Grade C English & Maths)
- Recognized electrical qualification such as to IEE wiring regulations/Part P Electrical Safety, backed up with experience in a similar maintenance or electrical installation background advantageous
- Basic health and safety knowledge (IOSH or NEBOSH advantageous)
