Role: Associate/Senior Associate Electrical Engineer - Data Centres/Mission Critical

Field: Electrical Engineering/Electrical Design, Revit/AutoCAD/M&E/Building Services/CIBSE/Institute of Electrical Engineers/MEP/Data Centres/Mission Critical

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 - Dependant on Experience

Due to continual growth a leading MEP Consultancy are looking to appoint an Associate Electrical Engineer or Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to work on Data Centres and Mission Critical projects. This Impressive firm for over 60 years has continued to overcome some of the toughest design challenges through innovation and problem solving.

The ideal candidate with have previous experience covering various project types and be familiar with UK building services standards. You will have excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design across building service design as well as previous experience of Data Centres and Mission Critical Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading supporting and delivering designs for Data Centres and Mission Critical Projects
  • Lead on electrical services design on large scale projects, acting as electrical lead
  • Work also across other MEP sectors such as science & research and healthcare projects
  • Attend Project meetings
  • Managing existing client relationships and well as developing new clients
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills when leading your team by providing mentoring, supervision, guidance and support
  • Lead or support the development of strategic level projects
  • Mentor and develop individual team members as well as contribute to their professional development Project manage and manage critical budgets
  • As required carry out calculations and review designs
  • Manage various projects both across the UK and Internationally as well as manage and lead an engineering team
  • Prioritise workloads

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering or with relevant experience in a similar working environment
  • Previous background with a UK consultancy which should include Data Centres and Mission Critical projects or other related sector
  • A strong leader and mentor
  • Strong project management, budgeting skills and leadership skills
  • Understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process
  • Awareness of building regulations standard - BS and EN
  • Knowledge around BREEAM and SBEM principles
