ManpowerGroup are recruiting for an exciting intern position for an Occupational Health & Safety student based in Galway with our partner MSA Safety

This is a paid internship to cover a period of 4 months over the summer period. Candidates must be in full time education in an Occupational Health & Safety course.

Education (Required):
Candidates must be a degree student Year 2 or above currently studying a degree in Occupational Health & Safety

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The role will focus on 3 main H&S Projects
• Risk Assessments
  • Update and review of all the sites risk assessments to the MSA Risk Assessment procedure and utilising the latest MSA Risk assessment Template.
  • This may involve meetings and discussions with the Site Management and involved associates when completing and/or reviewing the risk assessments
  • Planning, discussing, and writing new risk assessments for areas that are currently not covered under the old risk assessment structure
  • Complete the Site Safety Risk Register
• Complete Equipment Risk Priority Screening
  • Review site asset list and from the assets complete the risk priority screening as per the procedure utilising the MSA Risk Priority Screening Template
  • This may involve meetings and discussions with the Site Management and involved associates when completing the risk priority screening
• MSDS and MOMS System
  • Reviewing the sites Material safety data sheets with the actual chemicals utilised on site to build the latest Chemical/MSDS database
  • Updating the Chemical Management software MOMS with the above findings
