I currently have a great opportunity for Production Performance Supervisor working in the aerospace and automotive industry, to produce goods as required in line with the production plan. Working as part of the performance management team this varied role involves day to day supervision and planning of the production team (55~ employees spread across 3 shifts).
Working shifts are: Typically, A & B Rotating
A Monday to Thursday 6am to 1:35pm & Friday 6am to 12:45pm
B Monday to Thursday 1:25pm to 9:05pm & Friday 12:35pm to 7pm (20 % Shift allowance)
Salary inclusive of shift allowance (30,000- £38,000) depending on experience
Duties and responsibilities
- Awareness of all Health and Safety regulations/recommendations and all Company Health and Safety regulations/recommendations applicable within the area.
- Lead, direct and focus the efforts of the team whereby product is manufactured effectively and efficiently to meet the requirements of internal/external customer, whilst ensuring departmental and business targets are attained.
- Ensuring the quality of manufactured product meets drawing specification, and is handled / manufactured correctly to negate the need for any additional unplanned operations.
- Ensure shop-documentation and electronic information relating to all aspects of how product has been manufactured is accurate.
- Identify and implement countermeasures when deviations to plans occur in a timely manner.
- Reporting on departmental achievements in an accurate and concise manner to Performance Management.
- Liaising with all members of the Performance Management team to ensure achievement of departmental objectives.
- Identifying Continuous Improvement activities that focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People and Performance.
- Supervising Team-Members to ensure high-activity and efficiency levels are maintained.
- Dealing with poor performance in a timely manner, with an appropriate style and response to ensure performance improvement.
