Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables, following industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct site surveys to assess cabling requirements and develop detailed installation plans.
- Install cable support structures, including conduits, trays, and racks, to ensure proper cable management and organization.
- Label, route, and secure cables to maintain neat and professional installations.
- Test and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure for performance, connectivity, and signal quality.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while working on-site.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings, test results, and inventory records.
The ideal candidate:
- Will have experience in working on FTTx projects.
- Will have minimum of 3 years' experience in a telecom's technician role.
- Will hold a Safe Pass certificate (valid and in date) or CSR (Northern Ireland).
- Will hold a Manual Handling certificate (valid and in date).
- We are looking for someone with Signing Lighting and Guarding at the roadside, SLG, certificate (valid and in date).
- The ideal candidate must hold a Full, clean drivers license, BE Category.
