Administrator - R&D

Summary:

Job Purpose:

To assist the R&D team in the fulfilment of non-core engineering tasks, predominantly travel booking as well as Engineering logistics and general administration tasks within the Travel & Logistics Team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The candidate will be required to provide administrative support for the various functions of the R&D structure.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Travel bookings in support of all overseas testing requirements & supplier visits, balancing colleague welfare, business cost and risk management
  • Point of contact for all travel requirements within R&D Functions.
  • Support colleague requests with booking all elements of travel- flights, hotels, trains, parking etc.
  • Maintenance of accurate financial tracking for all travel spend against raised purchase orders
  • Monitor adherence of travellers to travel & Logistics policies
  • Obtains approval from leadership for travel requests and expenses that exceed established limits
  • Prepares travel itineraries and distributes travel arrangements and schedules to all appropriate staff.
  • Coordinate with external travel agencies and suppliers
  • General administrative support for all R&D functions - Prototype, Powertrain, Electrical, Chassis, Vehicle Performance, Body Engineering and Body Structures.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive can-do attitude is a must
  • Prioritise multiple tasks on a day to day level
  • Administration of general engineering office activities preferred
  • Must be flexible and able to communicate at all levels
  • Previous experience of transportation booking for worldwide vehicle/ parts shipments preferred
  • Strong time management
  • Minimum of GCSE level English and Maths or equivalent
