Our client is a prominent and highly regarded construction company with an impressive collection of completed projects all over Ireland. We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join their existing team as a Design Engineer - specialising in temporary works in office based in Dublin South.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare and verify technical designs for temporary works, including calculations, drawings, risk assessments, and design certificates.
• Conduct initial designs to determine pricing estimates.
• Suggest and/or develop alternative solutions that optimize value and efficiency, whether during the tendering or construction phases.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of processes, procedures, and standards for technical design.
• Offer technical engineering assistance to project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Office Team to ensure consistent and streamlined work practices.
• Provide dedicated support for temporary works designs.
• Liaise with Temporary Works Coordinators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers of proprietary equipment.
• Maintain records of timesheets for completed tasks.

The ideal candidate:

• We are looking for at least 2 years of experience in design engineering.
• Our ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or design engineering.
• We are looking for someone with 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
• We are looking for someone who demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience in Geotech, Concrete, Steel, Construction, or Temporary Works Design Engineering.
• We need someone with knowledge of CAD, design teds/stad pro/design aids.
