Position Overview:

As the Stock Control Team Lead, you will assume a pivotal role within the logistics department. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the Goods In team, optimizing inventory systems and procedures, and ensuring the accuracy of our stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Goods In team.
  • Collaborate closely with the purchasing department and freight forwarders to coordinate deliveries seamlessly.
  • Establish and monitor objectives for the Goods Inwards team.
  • Provide coaching and training as required.
  • Effectively manage temporary staffing requirements.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts to uphold stock accuracy.
  • Ensure proper receipt and storage of all items.
  • Strategically optimize stock levels across various depots.
  • Compile crucial inventory data to inform management decisions.
  • Offer recommendations for enhancing stock control procedures.
  • Investigate and address any issues within the warehouse inventory system.
  • Facilitate training and development for warehouse staff regarding inventory processes.
  • Maintain a high level of stock accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with replenishment staff to ensure efficient stock placement.
  • Implement new pick faces for recently introduced products.
  • Periodically review and optimize inventory for improved pick rates.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in stock control or a related role.
  • Possession of a 3rd Level Qualification in a business-related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and goal-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and multitasking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of WMS Systems
