As a leading provider of lifting equipment in the UK having 200 years' experience providing specialist testing, inspection, maintenance, certification, and training services on cranes, lifting equipment, height safety equipment, pressure systems and local exhaust ventilation systems to Industry.
With new strategic expansion plans, an opportunity has arisen for a Crane Technician to join their team covering the Wednesbury area. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you an exciting next step of your career?
Working within part of a hardworking team you will effectively manage all aspects relating to the maintenance of equipment, processes, attending call outs and ensuring servicing needs.
The key responsibilities for your new role are as follows:
- Conduct routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists and to understand LOLER and PUWER.Consult with your customers afterwards ensuring that next steps are recorded with prevention of breakdowns as your goal.Planned and preventive Maintenance.To carry out any other duties as are necessary, in accordance with the requirements of the business, from time to time.Retrofits and modernisation and upgrades to the customer's cranes and hoists.Assist in the running of routine and non-routine procedures and risk assessments to ensure maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Safety Management System.Proactively fault find and carry out repairs in a safe and timely.You must be comfortable with working at height.
My client is keen to hear from people who possess NVQ3, HNC, HND or C&G electrical engineering qualifications and you must have at least LEEA foundation and relevant industry experience working with cranes and hoists. Due to the nature of the role you must have a current valid driving licence.
Regardless of previous expertise, you will be both motivated and pragmatic, by nature, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
In return, my client is offering a £36,000- £42,000 salary p.a dependant on experience. An excellent benefits package includes 34 days holiday, a decent overtime payment, life assurance, pension and a hefty 95% discount on their products plus other salary extras and discounts.
