Job Title: Senior Web Developer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Job Type: Contract
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a Front-End Web Developer responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining web applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement web-based applications using web technologies to meet business requirements.
- Research, track, and stay updated on new web technologies as needed.
- Collaborate closely with business partners to address and develop business needs.
- Work with cross-functional teams.
- Follow approved life cycle methodologies.
- Participate in regular design discussions, create design documents, and engage in code reviews.
- Be part of technical design sessions and identify/document the pros and cons of different approaches.
- Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Test your code, including writing functional and unit tests.
- Exhibit exceptional self-motivation, solid interpersonal skills, and effective communication.
- Be a quick learner with the ability to adapt rapidly to new Software Development technologies.
- Pay extreme attention to detail, commit to excellence, and take great pride in the code you write.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills, a willingness to take ownership and risks, and enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges.
- As appropriate, liaise with outside vendors to coordinate code development and acceptance.
Experience Required:
- Mastery of web standards and user-centered design principles.
- Strong understanding and a minimum of 4 years of experience working with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript, Webpack, Responsive Web Development, and Bootstrap.
- Extensive knowledge of both dynamic and static HTML coding.
- Familiarity with web debugging and unit testing tools.
- Comfortable with standards compliance and handling cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Ability to effectively demonstrate creative and process skills as they relate to interface design.
Optional Technical Skills:
- Experience with Adobe AEM is a strong plus.
- Experience with E-commerce websites.
- Knowledge or experience in Angular, Node, and ReactJS.
- Knowledge of programming technologies like Java/J2EE.
- Understanding of standard web technologies (HTTP, JSON, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Or master's degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
