The Instituto Cervantes, the official Spanish Government Centre, is a public institution founded in 1991 to promote Spanish language teaching and knowledge of the cultures of Spanish speaking countries throughout the world.
The work of Instituto Cervantes is directed by representatives from the academic, cultural and literary world within the field of Spanish and Hispanic-America. In Dublin, the Institute collaborates with museums, galleries, theatres, publishing houses and other Irish cultural institutions, as well as Spanish and Latin-American organizations.
About the Role:
The Instituto Cervantes are seeking an experienced Receptionist who will serve as an Administrative assistant too at their office based in Dublin 2 conveniently situated between Trinity College and the National Gallery.
You will be involved in day to day activities at the center including but not limited to: Dealing with students and public, answering any queries over phone/email/social media, administrative tasks, working with multiple stakeholders, etc.
This is a temporary contract until December 2023 with the possibility to extend into 2024.
Education:
Ideally an Advanced Certificate in Office Administration and Management, Level 6 Required.
Experience:
Ideally 1 year of relevant professional experience in reception and administrative tasks, preferably in a school or teaching environment.
Skills/competences:
Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
Social Media management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and leading with customers
Languages:
English at least level B2 (high intermediate)
Spanish at least level B2 (high intermediate)
Schedule :
37 hours per week as follows:
- Tuesday to Thursday from 9am to 5.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Friday 10am to 6.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Saturday 9am to 2pm
