Position: Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dublin (Glasnevin Office)
About our client: A leading mechanical and electrical services contractor based in Dublin, is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Engaged in high-profile commercial contracts, they offer an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a challenging and rewarding role.
Responsibilities:
- Full evaluation and interpretation of project contract documentation.
- Preparation of tender submissions.
- Selection of sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Monitoring of costs from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Commercial management of sub-contractors to final account completion.
- Preparation, submission, and agreement of monthly progress claim applications.
- Monitoring changes in the scope of project works.
- Maintenance of accurate records and detailed backup for commercial tracking.
- Managing electrical project cost monitoring and producing monthly commercial project reports.
Essential Criteria:
- QS degree qualified and/or from a strong trade background.
- Minimum of 7 years of electrical QS experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in MS Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook), including estimating packages.
Desirable Criteria:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Previous experience in medium to large scale commercial and hospitality sector projects.
- Familiarity with all aspects of electrical construction processes.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to negotiate with clients and subcontractors on a professional level.
- Wide understanding of contract conditions and their applications.
