Senior Meetings & Events Co-Ordinator
Our client - A leading 4 Star Luxury hotel in Portlaoise are currently seeking a Senior Meeting & events Coordinator to join their growing sales team.
As the Senior Meetings & Events Coordinator at this prestigious 4-star hotel, you will play a crucial role in orchestrating and executing seamless meetings, conferences, and events. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for their guests. The ideal candidate:
- Are you proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM system. Hotsoft is an advantage but not essential?
- Do you have experience working in a high-octane work environment?
- Do you have 2 Years experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting?
- Do you have strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
- Coordinate and plan meetings, conferences, weddings, and other events, ensuring all details are handled with precision.
- Create and manage event timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with other departments (catering, housekeeping, etc.) to coordinate logistics and fulfil event requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process.
- Ensure client satisfaction by anticipating and addressing their needs promptly.
- Assist in the sales process by providing clients with detailed event proposals and cost estimates.
- Upsell additional services and amenities to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Work with the sales team to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure all staff is aware of event details and requirements.
- Attend regular meetings with the sales and events team to discuss upcoming events and address any challenges.
- Proactively identify potential issues and provide solutions to ensure smooth event execution.
- Address and resolve any challenges that arise during events promptly and professionally.
- To attend trade shows, promotions etc. if required to represent the hotel.
