Our client, a leading Food producer in Galway are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead day to day Production with their growing team in Oranmore.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Do you have People Management experience in a Production setting?
  • Do you have a background in Food Production?
  • A proven ability to plan, schedule and monitor output is essential
  • Adherence and understanding of Health & Safety requirements is necessary
  • Lean or problem-solving experience is desirable

The role:

  • Effectively manage all areas of Production
  • Reporting information on downtime, waste, process sheets, non-conformances, and on-hold logs, with appropriate handling as needed.
  • Consistently uphold compliance with food safety and quality assurance standards as dictated by the company, customers, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Lead daily production meetings, convening with area supervisors, maintenance personnel, quality assurance team, and material supply teams.
  • Ensure all costs are monitored and controlled to ensure operation within budgets.
  • Oversee attendance, punctuality, annual leave.
  • Conduct employee appraisals and probationary performance reviews as well as ongoing
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training matrices as needed.
  • Promote a zero-waste approach, thereby minimizing the risk of write-offs to the business
