Our client is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,0000 products to customers across Europe. They are a dynamic and fast paced company that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence. They are looking for an experienced Customer Support/Sales Specialist to join their team at the Galway head office. This role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with our clients customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and contributing to the growth and success of our clients international customer base.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Proven experience in a similar customer support or sales role.
  • Technical knowledge or production experience is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with multinational companies preferred.
  • Strong ability to identify customer needs and leverage sales opportunities.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to articulate product features and benefits.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach to work.
  • Openness to embracing new ideas and initiatives that drive customer satisfaction.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture strong business relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Efficiently process customer purchase orders and inquiries.
  • Handle customer queries via phone and email, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell products based on customer needs.
  • Educate customers on the technical advantages and benefits of our products.
  • Collaborate closely with external sales colleagues to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Identify, document, and escalate customer issues or trends using appropriate communication channels.
  • Stay abreast of product updates and industry trends to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports using SAP.
