Maintenance Technician

Our client, a global Food supplier and producer are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in Kildare.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Do you 2+ years' experience as a Maintenance Tech?
  • Do you have a background in maintaining Food processing machines?
  • Have you got a track record of working in a high-volume production environment?
  • Experience with thermoformers and bagging machines is essential
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills are required

The role:

  • General maintenance and callouts to teams on shift
  • Support the maintenance leaders with regards to projects, improvement plans, audit preparation, and the maintenance works plans.
  • Provide and develop preventative maintenance processes
  • Work with the maintenance team in the planning of shutdown works & machine overhauls.
  • Train and support technicians & operators on existing & new machines
  • Coordinate with engineering stores ensuring the stocking of machine spare parts
  • Assist /coordinate the execution of health and safety machine / line upgrades and machine compliance in line with guarding and safety regulations.
  • Involvement in lean projects and process improvements.
  • Create/update best practice methods for specific task on equipment in the plant, document and train same.
  • Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support is part of this role transferring skills to other team members.
  • Record daily tasks on the Maintenance Management System
