Content Writer

Our client is a leading industrial distributor, supplying customers across Europe. They are looking for a talented, creative, and passionate individual to join their team as a Content Creator. In this role, you will assist in researching and creating original copy for their websites and produce customer documentation, including catalogues, brochures, and marketing materials.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain company websites and customer portals by updating new products and removing discontinued items. Ensure product specifications, images, and other details are accurate and high quality.
• Write clear, concise, and compelling text that accurately describes products and generates sales, adhering to the house style guide.
• Contribute to the department's content calendar by researching industry-related topics and writing informative blog posts and articles.
• Drive and maintain website accuracy by reviewing and updating product descriptions and identifying obsolete items.
• Liaise with the marketing team on content creation for social media, including organic posts, advising on topics, and collating necessary information.
• Conduct keyword research and apply SEO principles to maximise product reach.
• Support and ensure compliance with content guidelines, tone, style, and voice.
• Produce customer-specific texts, catalogues, brochures, leaflets, and marketing materials within strict time-frames and deadlines.
• Proofread and review all content produced by the Content and Marketing teams, advising on any alterations and edits.
• Collaborate with designers on producing website and social media banners, graphics, images, and marketing materials.
• Produce training and educational materials as required.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a copy-writing role.
• 3rd Level qualification in English, Journalism, or Business.
• Fluent English speaker with strong attention to detail and grammar.
• Experience and outstanding skills in writing about technical subjects for various audiences.
• Experience with CMS, including WordPress, Magento, and PIM applications.
• Knowledgeable about SEO fundamentals and keyword research.
• Familiarity with Adobe software, including Photoshop and Illustrator, is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and effectively, as well as being a strong team player.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities and an analytical approach to issues.
• Flexible work ethic and approach, with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in taking the lead on projects and meetings.
