Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Compliance AML Execution Intermediate Analyst to work with our client who is a global leader in banking and wealth management which provide consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions with a broad range of financial services and products to achieve the best outcomes for clients and customers with financial ingenuity that leads to solutions that are simple, creative, and responsible. The role is based in Dublin. This is a 12-month contract position.

Role Overview
The AML team proactively identifies, assesses, reports and mitigates compliance and reputational risks across business lines, products, legal entities and jurisdictions to the benefit of our franchise, customers and employees. The AML team sets standards and uses an enterprise-wide compliance risk management approach in partnership with the business and other Global Functions to drive a strong culture of compliance and control and support the principles of Responsible Finance.
By joining the Anti-Money Laundering team, you will be part of one of the most international areas with our client which will allow you the opportunities to collaborate with your peers on a daily basis within Europe. The Compliance Anti Money Laundering (AML) Execution Intermediate Analyst is responsible for investigating and reporting of suspicious transactions, recommending/establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and assist in all matters concerning financial crimes in coordination with the broader AML team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review fraud payment recalls and internal manual referrals and track all manual referrals and create investigation cases in system.
  • Carry out investigations of suspicious activities and assist with filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required.
  • Execution of post-investigation responsibilities, including those related to account closure.
  • Review and update SAR data and prepare Management Information (MI) for local/regional/global reports.
  • Ensure that SAR/FIU policies and procedures are adhered to, and that issues are logged, monitored and escalated.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks required by the Compliance AML Execution Manager.
  • Provide input/support on Ireland AML regulatory changes to ensure that policies and procedures are up-to-date and in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding our client, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Irish AML regulatory requirements, industry standards and practices.
  • Experience in reporting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) on GoAML an advantage.
  • Ability to work simultaneously across multiple conflicting priorities, timelines and stakeholders.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential with attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree.
  • ACAMS certification preferable.
