Business Development Manager Full-time, Permanent Nationwide - Ireland



The job is based nationwide in Ireland (26 counties). Candidates must hold a full driver's license as this role involves extensive travel.

What the Ideal Candidate Will Need:

  • Proven track record in sales, particularly in managing and developing customer relationships.
  • Strong ability to prospect for new accounts and identify customer needs.
  • Experience in negotiating sales, preparing quotations, and closing deals.
  • Ability to stay updated on new products and market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise and train customers effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet monthly sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work outside of normal business hours when necessary.
  • Full driver's license required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop existing customers, focusing on increasing sales for new products.
  • Prospect for new accounts and develop a strong pipeline of potential customers.
  • Visit an agreed number of customers each month as outlined by company policy.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, closing sales deals efficiently.
  • Provide training and advice to customers on product usage and benefits.
  • Complete monthly sales reports and present them to the Country Manager.
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding debts and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Participate in seminars and trade shows to promote the product range.
  • Identify competitor activity and report this to the Country Manager.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and ensure it is kept in good condition.
