Company Overview:
Our client is the world's leading provider of enterprise open-source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies. Spread across 40+ countries, our associates have the flexibility to choose the work environment that suits their needs from in-office to fully remote to office-flex.

The Role:
As a Principal Quality Engineer, contribute to leading hands-on technical teams, architecting automated test solutions, and collaborating across projects. Dive into open source communities, develop reference architectures, and provide technical leadership.

What You Will Do:

  • Own design reviews and automated testing for major product features and bug fixes. You'll be responsible for developing test strategy and frameworks, designing and implementing automated tests, creating and carrying out test plans, researching new features, developing automated tests, and maintaining and enhancing test frameworks.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for our customers, providing data-driven product quality metrics to all major stakeholders.
  • Help grow a company-wide community of Quality enthusiasts that is passionate about our customers' needs.
  • Run technical initiatives that grow, improve, and scale our existing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of the Open Data Hub open source project and Openshift AI family of products.
  • Work with and develop testing plans for new open source AI components from Open Data Hub and OpenShift AI.
  • Utilize strong communication skills for cross-company collaboration, engaging with engineers, product managers, consultants, and global management teams.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning platforms such as Kubeflow, Tensorflow, or PyTorch.
  • 5+ years of software quality engineering experience including test automation using object-oriented languages; Python and Golang are preferred.
  • Extensive experience managing Linux-based systems in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in container-related technologies like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Jenkins or other batch management tools, including the creation of pipelines and the ability to troubleshoot tests using log analysis.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing at both the API and UI frontend levels.
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
