Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic)
Our client, a leading transport company with a large, modern fleet of trucks and trailers is seeking an experienced and highly skilled HGV Mechanic to join their team. This role is pivotal in maintaining their state-of-the-art fleet, ensuring vehicles are in top condition and ready for the demands of the road.
Location: Ashbourne, Co Meath
Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on the fleet of trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
- Carry out minor body repair works as needed.
- Manage and update vehicle maintenance schedules, utilizing their workshop system for planning and reporting.
- Liaise with the Fleet Manager to communicate vehicle progress and address any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Fully qualified and trained HGV Mechanic/Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Transport & logistics
- Strong diagnostic skills and experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing HGVs.
- Possession of an HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 License is advantageous.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
