Sea Freight Coordinator - Little Island, Cork
Our client, a leading Irish logistics provider, is seeking an experienced and proactive Sea Freight Coordinator to join their dynamic team in their office in Little Island cork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a seamless and efficient sea freight operations service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and smooth end-to-end coordination.
Location: Little Island, Cork
Work Schedule: 9am - 5.30pm (Mon - Fri)

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Shipment Bookings: Process and oversee bookings from customer request to final delivery and payment.
- Shipment Monitoring: Track shipments throughout their journey, ensuring timely arrivals and smooth operations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service and support to both internal teams and external clients.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with local and international vendors and agents to secure competitive rates and services.
- Transport Liaison: Coordinate collections and deliveries with transport vendors.
- Invoice Management: Process sales and purchase invoices, resolving any invoice-related queries.
- Quotation and Rate Requests: Handle rate requests and provide accurate quotations to customers.
- Customs Clearance: Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including documentation such as SADs.
- Service Development: Contribute to the growth and enhancement of sea freight services.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 12-18 months of experience in sea freight operations or a related field.
- Proficient in MS Office and freight management systems. (CargoWise would be a distinct advantage but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
