Job Title: Customer Account Manager - Homecare
We are seeking a passionate and high-performing Customer Account Manager to drive the Homecare business. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels at building collaborative relationships. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Irish Convenience sector, leveraging this expertise to accelerate growth and deliver outstanding results.
The Customer Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing customer business plans at a category level, focusing on Homecare products. The role involves building strong working relationships with customer buying teams, supply chain, shopper marketing, and internal category and brand contacts. The aim is to deliver Underlying Sales Growth, Market Share, and Profitability in the Homecare category.
Key Focus Areas
* Serve Your Customer: Lead the customer relationship within Homecare categories, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
* Shopper First: Grow Homecare categories through insight and exceed shopper expectations in the Convenience sector.
* Drive Digital: Confidently engage in digital initiatives to support category growth.
* Better Deal: Apply commercial rigour in assessing and implementing growth strategies, driving joint business plans forward.
* Build the Base: Use category-based selling to improve space, distribution, range, and POS for Homecare products.
Responsibilities
* Build strong and sustainable relationships.
* Negotiate effectively to agree trade terms, funding, and counterparts in line with the Homecare strategy.
* Manage key customer events, such as new product launches and cost price changes.
* Develop and deliver strategic business plans for Homecare categories, working closely with Category Managers and Shopper Marketing.
* Create and execute integrated category promotional plans, including selling these plans to customers.
* Manage promotional and non-promotional investments, ensuring all agreements are documented.
* Oversee the launch of new Homecare products, providing samples and support as needed.
* Ensure effective in-store activation of key events, providing clear briefings to the Retail Execution Team.
Accountabilities
* Manage the customer P&L for Homecare categories and overall customer investment.
* Monitor in-month performance versus forecast, collaborating with CBMs and Customer Operations.
* Accurately manage accruals and pricing.
* Ensure compliance with agreed trade terms and resolve any breaches.
* Deliver turnover and business-building targets for Homecare categories.
* Provide clear, up-to-date inputs into business processes (e.g., promotional evaluation, business planning, sales updates, in-store tracking, price claim management).
* Complete required administration for customers, including pricing, rebates, promotional proposals, trade terms, and contracts.
All About You
* Previous experience in a Customer Account Manager role, ideally within FMCG.
* Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
* Proven collaborator, able to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
* Deep understanding of the Irish Convenience sector and its unique dynamics.
* Prior commercial experience and exposure to P&L management.
* Experience in Shopper Marketing or Category Management is preferable.
* Data-driven and digitally curious.
