Customer Service Agent
Full Time Permanent Onsite
Location: Cork
Are you an experienced customer service professional with a strong background in import/export logistics? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, communication, and problem-solving are key? We are hiring a Customer Service Specialist - Import/Export to support a leading container shipping company. In this role, you will handle booking coordination, customer support, and logistics operations, ensuring smooth import/export processes while delivering top-tier service.

What the ideal candidate will need:

  • Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or container shipping.
  • A Solid background in transport/operational functions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills - fluent English required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of hazardous cargo regulations is a plus

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage import/export bookings and liaise with customers, transport teams, and European partners.
  • Prepare and send daily/weekly reports to customers regarding their shipments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support customer needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure smooth cargo movement by coordinating with shipping and terminal operations.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy and maintain strong attention to detail in administrative processes
  • Drive continuous improvement, implementing cost-saving and efficiency measures.
